ASTM A242 Corten Steel Sheets is a high-strength, low-alloy steel commonly referred to as Corten steel. It is designed to have better corrosion resistance properties, especially in atmospheric conditions, compared to standard carbon steels. ASTM A242 Corten Steel Sheets is achieved through its unique chemical composition, which forms a stable rust-like appearance after exposure to weather, protecting the steel from further corrosion.
